CVCCS Statement of Faith
There is One God who reveals as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 8:6, Mat. 28:19). The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth as a baby, lived a sinless life, and willingly gave Himself to be crucified, dying as a sacrifice for the sins of man; He was buried and rose again (2 Cor. 5:21, 1 Tim. 1:15, John 19:1-30). Salvation is offered to all who call upon the Name of Jesus and believe in their heart that He is the Son of God making eternity with God possible (John 3:16). God’s Holy Spirit empowers the believer to live an overcoming life of service for Him and to our fellow man (Psa. 143:10, Col. 1:11). All human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Psa. 139). Our statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of CVCCS’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Directors and/or Executive Director is CVCCS’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s application.
Respecting the privacy of clients, donors, members, staff, volunteers and of CVCCS itself is a basic value of our organization. Personal and financial information is confidential and should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone without permission or authorization from the President or Executive Director. Care shall also be taken to ensure that unauthorized individuals do not overhear any discussion of confidential information and that documents containing confidential information are not left in the open or inadvertently shared. You may be exposed to information which is confidential and/or privileged and proprietary in nature. It is our policy that such information must be kept confidential. Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal from the organization.
