The Heaven’s Declare.
Psalm 19:1-6: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.”
One Pastor gave a fascinating presentation. Here’s one small, but POWERFUL, part of it:
“Our galaxy is called the Milky Way. It contains approximately 100 billion stars. One of the stars in the Milky Way, the sun, is so big that ONE MILLION earths could fit inside of it! Looking at just a few more stars in our galaxy: One is named, Betelgeuse- 262 trillion earths would fit inside of it. Another is called Mu Cephei- 2.7 quadrillion earths would fit inside of it. And another is called, Canus Majoris (largest “known” star)- 7 quadrillion earths would fit inside of it. That’s enough earths, if earth were a golf ball, to cover the entire state of Texas in golf balls – 2 feet deep…Try to visualize the whole of Texas covered from end to end in golf balls up to your knees. Now imagine that somewhere among them is one called earth, and that you’re standing (or sitting) on it right now. “
As a bonus, here’s one more thing to absolutely BLOW YOUR MIND today! Did you know that all the planets in our solar system vibrate to a certain frequency? More than that, did you know that they also create a musical scale when the vibration of each planet is put together?!
The following was reported by NASA in 2013: “Stars like the sun support convective motions, meaning hot plasma from the interior rises to the surface, cools, and sinks down again. This process generates sound waves that are trapped in the interior of the star casing it to vibrate like a bell… the rotation of the star leaves subtle signatures in the frequencies with which the star vibrates.”
The universe literally plays music declaring the glory of God!
What’s the point of all this? PURPOSE.
One Christian author illustrates this notion by simply looking at the moon: “The moon’s purpose is to reflect the sun. You never hear the moon complain about her role, her position, or her purpose. She has no light of her own except what the sun reflects, and as a result she beams that borrowed light onto the dark earth. Similarly, our purpose is to be “Son-reflectors.”
Biblical Christianity is wholly unique. As one Theologian described, it’s the ONLY world view that clearly answers the 4 biggest questions in life: “Origin, Meaning, Morality, and Destiny.”
There is indeed a Purposeful Creator behind our purposeful existence. For example, DNA is what makes you uniquely you. Did you know that your DNA contains no fewer than 3.5 BILLION “letters”? That’s enough to stretch to the moon and back! A one-way trip to the moon is 238,900 miles, by the way. And get this, no other human being has ever, or will ever, have the same DNA as you.
You’re a living, breathing masterpiece of infinite worth!
