CVCCS Meets Growing Needs During Covid-19

This crisis has hit our community hard with many of our clients laid off from jobs with local restaurants, tourism industry, non-essential manufacturing, and outlet/retail stores. For some, they were already struggling to make ends meet, this crisis has made it all the more trying.

What is CVCCS Doing to Help?

As you can imagine, the need for our services has increased greatly since the stay-at-home orders were implemented in mid-March. Last month the number of clients served is up 67 percent compared to the same time last year.

We are pre-packing orders and delivering to clients in their cars via curbside pickup. Thanks to our generous business partners, we are able to send them home with a large variety of non-perishables, meat, dairy, produce, and bakery. Our clients may visit the food bank once every 30 days.

Our staff and volunteers are working incredibly hard to serve and we are so proud of them!

How Can You Help?

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has called or emailed to ask how they can help. The best way to help us at this time is through monetary donations. Why? Because we can purchase food pennies on the dollar through the Central Pa. Food Bank. That means we can stretch our dollars further than individuals who purchase food at retail prices.

To donate, you can either use our online donation portal at https://cvccs.org/donate/
