Walk & Ride From Hunger
May 5 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Walk & Ride from Hunger will take place on Sunday, May 5, 2019, 12 to 3 p.m., at the Conestoga Valley High School Track, 2110 Horseshoe Rd, Lancaster. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services Food Bank.
This is a fun day of fellowship and exercise for people who choose to walk or run (untimed) or ride their motorcycle to raise money to help our neighbors in need struggling with food insecurity. CVCCS provides a food bank and programs that address childhood hunger.
You can join the day in one of three ways — walk, ride, or sponsor a participant.
Walkers are encouraged to collect donations from friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor them. For those who collect $100 or more, they will be entered into a prize drawing! You can download and print the sponsor form here: CVCCS Walker Donation Form 2019. Register by May 5 to reserve a t-shirt in your chosen size. Onsite registrations are not guaranteed an event t-shirt.
Walkers may choose to walk 3 miles on the CVHS cross country trail or on the track. The trail walk will be led by the FOCUS Group — a Christian centered club at CVHS. Registration opens at 12:30 and the walk will start around 1 p.m.
Triple Tree Ministries will lead this fun bike ride along scenic South Eastern Lancaster County. A motorcycle blessing will take place at CVHS parking lot around 12:45 with the ride taking off at 1 p.m. Please register prior to May 5 to reserve your t-shirt size.
If you are not able to walk or ride, you can sponsor a participant or the event. Contact Angie at 717-208-3711 ext. 102 for more information.
