Open House, Sunday, October 25

The Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS), located at 2420 Gehman Lane, Lancaster, is hosting an Open House for the CV community on Sunday, October 25 from 12 to 4 PM. We invite the entire community to take a tour of our clothing and food banks. The clothing bank, formerly known as Corner of Hope, and the food bank, formerly We Care and The CV food bank, are now housed in the former Lapp Electric warehouse. White-Out Against Hunger

Two local high schools, Conestoga Valley and Solanco will face each other this year and come together and support a good cause. This will be the Fourth event of its kind for CV, and the first year partnering with Solanco. All participants will help stock both food banks. The schools are encouraging fans to bring two donations for the Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS) and Solanco Neighborhood Ministries to the game on Friday, September 8, 2017. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Conestoga Valley. *Fans who bring TWO (2) items will receive a free white t-shirt with their team’s logos and colors (red for CV and black for Solanco) AND $1 off admission to the game. Monetary donations are also accepted. * The t-shirts are courtesy of Benjamin Franklin plumbing, Mr. Sparky and Rohrer’s One Hour Heating and AC, Unitz1 (CV-based businesses) Paul Risk Construction and The Fireside Tavern, (Solanco Based businesses.) *The food banks recommend donations of canned fruit and vegetables, pancake mix, cereal, jars of peanut butter and canned pastas.
